how embassy attestation is different from apostille services

There is a lot of difference between embassy attestation and apostille services. Any document required for attestation will need to be stamped by the relevant government Ministry of Foreign Affairs department in your home country. They will check the validity of either the person signature of the document stamp on the certificate. Once they are validated  the document is genuine, they will attach a stamp is approximately 15 c.m square in size to the backside of your documents. This stamp is called an Apostille in countries that are members of the Hague Convention of 1961 for legalizing/attesting documents for use abroad. Other countries have different attestation process which is called embassy attestation.

Embassy attestation procedure :

Embassy/Consulate attestation which is the 3rd step of the attestation process which is attested by your destination country embassy or consulate from the documents origin once the embassy attestation is finished you can summit your document to destination country ministry of foreign affairs for final MOFA stamping once the mofa stamp is done you can use your documents for visa purpose.

UAE. The document(s) will be returned to Dubai from the country of issue, where they can be checked and have the correct stamp applied so that they are ready for use in the UAE.

Process for document and degree certificate attestation for UAE

  1. Notarization in the home country 
  2. Attestation from the country of origin like MEA or MOFA attestation
  3. Certification by the UAE Embassy from the home country
  4. Attestation by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA)
